On Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., RGM Watch Co. is celebrating its 25th anniversary at no better place than the Museum of Time! Roland Murphy, CEO and founder of RGM Watch Co. in Mount Joy, PA, will reveal several new wristwatch models alongside some of his current ones and give a guided tour of the Museum. Murphy is a longtime friend of the NAWCC, and the Museum is a deep source of knowledge and inspiration for him. The day before the event RGM Watch Co. is having an open house at its workshop in Mount Joy. Visit RGM’s blog for more on the event.
The NAWCC Museum turns 40 on Saturday, September 23, the same day as Smithsonian Magazine’s Free Museum Day. To honor these two events the Museum will host the third annual Cloktoberfest on that day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sponsored by M&T Bank, Cloktoberfest is a day of sundry crafts, horologica, behind-the-scenes tours, a silent auction, a steampunk fashion show, beer and mead sampling, and more. Spots for vendors are still available. Contact giftshop@nawcc.org for more information.
Last but certainly not least is Hamilton International’s 125 Years in the Making event on Thursday, September 28, at Brent L. Miller Jewelers & Goldsmiths in Lancaster, PA. The NAWCC Museum will be providing choice pieces from its Hamilton Watch Co. collection to honor the craft and the proud history of the brand. This event is free to the public but RSVP christine@brentlmiller.com if you plan to attend. Staff members of the Museum and Hamilton International will be on-site, so plan to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event!
All events are free and open to the public.
